After peacefully coexisting with the Australian wilderness for 25 million years, almost nowhere in this country is safe any more for our Eastern Grey Kangaroos, appropriately dubbed the "Perfect Australians" by one reporter recently.
They are now the innocent victims of the largest land-based massacre of wildlife anywhere in the world - condoned, and even encouraged by the vilest of our politicians and bureaucrats in the name of commerce or development.
In addition, they face the ever increasing threat of being killed on the roads, by dogs, or getting caught in fences, as human activity invades and steadily erodes their habitat.
All the Eastern Grey Kangaroos shown in this website are orphans - lucky survivors of some of these encounters with humans.
